JOSCAR Suppliers

Saving you Time and Cost

JOSCAR is the accreditation and compliance system for the defence aerospace sectors including prime contractors, civil aviation and security.

The system was established following an initiative led by ADS Group and includes a growing number of prime contractors as registered buyers.

JOSCAR is a cross-sector collaborative solution that reduces the time, cost, resources and duplication currently needed to provide information to major prime customers. Holding common supplier information in a central system, the JOSCAR accreditation system allows information to be accessed by all participating buying organisations.

JOSCAR is designed to make the process of pre-qualification or accreditation as efficient as possible – saving your company a significant amount of the time, effort and cost associated with working for multiple clients.

Hellios enables more effective compliance with client requirements for business through a single process. Your initial registration will determine the level of pre-qualification or accreditation that your clients require, based on an automated risk profile.

Expert advice is provided throughout the process to guide you including identifying potential business improvement opportunities that may increase your competitive advantage.

Registration on JOSCAR is either by invitation from your registered JOSCAR buyer or via self nomination. If your buyer has asked you to complete the JOSCAR questionnaire, they will contact Hellios directly on your behalf. Hellios will then process this request and send a link to the questionnaire for you to complete. If you would like to self nominate, please reach out to us at joscar@hellios.com.

The Process

Initial stage

All suppliers complete an initial registration questionnaire on-line through the JOSCAR portal. This typically includes corporate information, policy compliance and declarations needed by any buyer registered on the system. Completing this part of the questionnaire can take as little as 60 minutes.

Once Stage 1 is complete, the system conditionally triggers whether or not a second stage of the process needs to be completed. Stage 2 may require a fee. This depends on the company’s size, turnover and/or whether you are an ADS member. You are advised of the cost.

Second stage

This stage is triggered for medium and high-risk suppliers. You will have to complete a more detailed questionnaire that relates to the answers provided in the Stage 1. This will include the provision of supporting documentation e.g Insurance & Policy documentation, ISO Certificates and statements. Our expert team are available for support throughout the process.

When each questionnaire is completed, it is returned to Hellios to be validated. If clarification or amendments are required, Hellios resends a link directing you to those particular answers. This ensures the information provided to the buying organisations is current, accurate, and of the highest quality.
