Team Leader - Operations (Validations)
After graduating in Law from Swansea University, I took some time to travel, visiting South Africa and Thailand. When I returned to the UK and it was time to start my career, I took a job at Hellios – I never expected to still be here 8 years later!
In those eight years, I have done a lot. I’ve worked within Supplier Management and Buyer Management, and finally found my home in Validations. When I took maternity leave and then started flexible working once my family arrived, I was still able to grow in my career while being a working mum thanks to the support from Hellios.

Digital Marketing Lead
I studied at San Francisco university and began my career in marketing in the US before deciding to move back to the UK, where I’m glad to say I very quickly found my niche here at Hellios. And since I joined, I have not stopped learning! Hellios has supported me in my CIM Diploma in Digital Marketing, which has helped me bring more to my role as Digital Marketing Lead. I’ve also taken other training courses, such as GDPR training and first aid. And even in my every day work I’m always learning something – which has definitely helped my rapid career growth.

Team Lead Operations
I joined Hellios in 2018 as a Customer Support advisor, with no plan or idea of how I would want my career to go. Immediately, I could see that this was a company who cared about their employees and put pride and passion into everything they do. With the help of the company, and the trust and belief they put into me, I was able to complete courses to help me progress and develop my skillset, which has allowed me to go from a Customer Support advisor to managing the team, something I had never even thought about before!

Data & Business Intelligence Analyst
Moving from India to Ireland to begin my career was a step full of uncertainty for me; I had my Master’s in data analytics, but I was unsure how successful I would be in a post-pandemic world. I needn’t have worried – Hellios is a nurturing company where every voice matters and ideas are welcomed - even if you’re relatively new. I joined in January 2022, and through Hellios I achieved my Google Analytics certification in January 2024 and became Senior Data Science Analyst in March 2024. I enjoy the positive energy and camaraderie among my peers and have been able to expand my experience within defence and finance, adding to my professional expertise. I can honestly say that coming to work each day is a delight.

Customer Support Advisor
I’m currently taking a course on supplier risk analysis and management. The course is so relatable to my job – I’ve learnt more about risk and why those risks need to be avoided, and why we request certain information. It’s one thing to ask for a variety of data, but now I can explain why we’re asking for that information, which helps me explain it to our suppliers.
This is the kind of support that Hellios likes to give its employees – I can do my job much better, and our customers get a better service. I cannot wait to share all the information with my colleagues and see how, as a community, we can apply what I’ve learnt into our daily work.

FSQS Sector Manager
I joined Hellios just over 5 years ago and the company has been fantastic in providing opportunities to develop my learning. For example, last year, I completed the ILM Level 3 Qualification in Leadership and Management funded by Hellios and have been able to apply what I learnt to my current role as Sector Manager. What’s great is that this qualification has supported me in my professional development and allowed me, in turn, to support my team in their own development – helping us all work better as a team.

Business Development Manager
I joined Hellios’ Graduate Development Management Programme in 2021 and have been on a fast-paced career progression journey ever since, including a relocation from the Oxford office to Spain. The focused developmental, training and progression that Hellios puts in place for all its employees is so valuable and I have benefited from this enormously. For example, the MEDDIC methodology training has given me the tools I need to evaluate Buyer accounts and identify areas where we can support and improve our service. Essentially, the support and training offered has helped me to become a Business Development Manager in only two and a half years.

Hellios are helping me pursue my goal of becoming a qualified accountant by funding my AAT qualification; I’ve already completed levels 2 and 3 and next I will be starting level 4. All levels include one day a week at college which allows me to really focus on my learning and definitely helped me pass both level 2 and 3. With just my level 4 to go, I will become a qualified accountant, and I know that Hellios will then support me in developing my role internally and help me to gain the right experience so I can grow into future roles and opportunities.

You can’t get to know your colleagues unless you have a bit of fun first, which is why we have our very own social committee. They do a fantastic job of organising key events such as our company parties, gatherings, and outings. You can get involved as little or as much as you like – they are a friendly bunch who welcome suggestions of things the company might like to do.
