The JOSCAR team took a leading role at this year’s DPRTE event, contributing directly to some of the most important conversations shaping the future of Defence procurement.
A standout presence across the programme, Didde, Head of JOSCAR UK, was invited to speak on two panel sessions, where she shared expert insight on supplier assurance, risk management, and the increasing demands on Defence supply chains.
Emphasising the importance of collecting high-quality, primary supplier data, she highlighted how this enables Buyers to make faster, more confident decisions with greater visibility.
Didde also stressed that resilience cannot rely solely on MOD flow-down requirements, encouraging suppliers to focus on building robust internal processes to strengthen their own long-term resilience.
At DPRTE, the conversation around supplier assurance and risk management has never been more critical. As Defence supply chains grow more complex, having access to reliable, transparent supplier data is essential to building resilience and trust. JOSCAR plays a key role in enabling that visibility, helping both Buyers and suppliers navigate increasing scrutiny with confidence.
Didde Bjerglund-Martin, Head of JOSCAR UK
Further reinforcing JOSCAR’s thought leadership, Alex Harvey, Business Development Manager, delivered a dedicated session exploring how Defence organisations can move beyond carbon reporting to drive meaningful decarbonisation.
Highlighting that resilience and climate risk are now fundamentally linked, the session reframed sustainability as a core business risk - particularly in Defence, where the majority of emissions sit within Scope 3.
The talk focused on turning ambition into action, with practical steps for improving data quality, engaging supply chains, and enabling more informed, operational decision-making.
Better data enables better decisions, helping organisations not only reduce emissions but strengthen supply chain resilience and long-term performance. The risk is already here, and those who are investing in more mature, data-driven approaches today will be far better prepared for what comes next.
Alex Harvey, Business Development Manager
